In 1991, the band traveled to Luzern for the celebration of Switzerland's 700th anniversary. The band performed at the 1994 American/Japanese Bandmasters Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii, and again at the 1997 American Bandmasters Convention, which it hosted in San Diego.
We have also performed in Davos, Switzerland, and Schladming, Austria, for the 1997 Convention of the World Associationfor Symphonic Bands And Ensembles (WASBE).
In July of 2001, the band traveled to Bern, Switzerland to perform in the inaugural presentation of the World Music Showcase. We then participated in the International Music Festival in Saas Fee, Switzerland where we received the "Gold Award". Only two bands in two years were so honored. We played to a "standing room only" audience in Salsomaggiore, Italy. In the summer of 2003, the Coastal Communities Concert Band performed in the Festival des Anches™ Azur at La Croix Valmer on the French Riviera. |
